Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulating and executing a comprehensive long-term real estate strategy
- Leading the Facilities and Housing Committee of the Board
- Acting as a liaison to government agencies for asset management and GSS facilities oversight
- Managing all GSS leased and owned properties
- Supervising ongoing and future capital projects, including budget management
- Handling facilities management, including maintenance contracts and budget of approximately $4 million
- Directing the Director of Facilities and maintenance staff in various responsibilities
- Ensuring cleanliness and preventive maintenance of GSS facilities
- Managing logistical services and overseeing system functionality
- Inspecting facilities for compliance with building codes and safety standards
- Managing GSS’s vehicle fleet and negotiating leases with landlords
- Ensuring compliance with competitive bidding policies
- Overseeing specification, bid process, and project management for construction and repair projects
- Supervising Purchasing Manager in day-to-day operations
- Evaluating and managing GSS’s purchasing and inventory systems
- Managing non-capital purchasing, including adherence to agency policies
- Participating in budget preparation for non-personnel items and overseeing contract negotiations for major goods and services.
