Job Summary

Claims Recovery Analysts II are assigned to the Antitrust Practice Group and are expected to provide service and support to the Claims Recovery team on projects as assigned. Claims Recovery Analysts II are responsible for the gathering, scrubbing, management, and analysis of data from a variety of sources to assist with the claims process. Claims Recovery Analysts II have a minimum billing requirement of 1600 hours per year.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze data using statistical techniques, resolve discrepancies, and present findings through the creation of tables, charts, reports, and statistical models in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other applications like SQL.
  • Analyze data using statistical techniques and provide reports.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Develop, execute, maintain, and troubleshoot complex scripts and reports developed using SQL, Microsoft Excel, or other analytics tools.
  • Research publicly available information (company websites, financial statements, other web-based research), compile, summarize and report findings from: Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Labor, and other regulatory documents or filings.
  • Filter and scrub data.
  • Timely follow up on assigned data files and exercise judgment regarding solutions to problematic files, including when to escalate to a senior case analyst and attorneys.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and practice support to execute and prioritize workflow.
  • Organize, manage, and update client files.
  • Apply creative and persistent problem-solving using publicly available sources.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure relevant error-free work product.
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity to improve analysis and protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access, including creating pivot tables, macros, and advanced formulas.
  • Experience with data analysis and additional relevant tools to perform those analyses (such as SQL).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, organize, and process data and information as directed.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems by applying precedent or extrapolating from previous experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Exhibited strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide basic client service requiring ordinary tact and courtesy.
  • Ability to type at a speed of 65 WPM.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Education

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience
  • The position requires a minimum of two (2) years of increasing responsible, directly related experience, during which the knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to the position were demonstrated. Experience in accounting, finance, economics, and/or statistics is strongly preferred.  Previous experience in a legal and/or financial firm preferred.
