The Opportunity 

Guided by department objectives and priorities, delivers technology training support for attorneys and staff in all US offices, Asia, and Europe. Delivers technology-related training on an ad hoc basis as well as in a classroom setting via remote means and delivers successful consistent training in all offices; creates training content. Supports Firm wide IT Training Manager in developing and implementing firm wide IT training and support programs to ensure the effective utilization and enhance the usefulness of firm technology and applications. Collaborates closely with local office and trainers and others in firm wide and office-based Information Technology groups, attorneys, staff, and vendors and ensures the delivery of quality services to all users. Provides high level support for day-to-day technology needs for offices and works with local trainers to ensure they do same. Travels to designated offices as needed. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Training Responsibilities

1.      Delivers all training on firm standard hardware and software as well as specialized software and hardware used in the offices using established MoFo delivery standards, including but not limited to: remote group classroom delivery, one-on-one coaching, practice sessions, workshop roll-outs and synchronous virtual delivery/facilitation. Serves as the point person for coordinating and ensuring the continuation of ongoing effective new hire technology orientation sessions that are consistent across all offices, and all related training for new staff and attorneys.  Conducts same. Provides remote desk-side training as needed.

2.      Creates and prepares training and/or reference materials such as quick reference guides, training manuals, mini-tips, email tips, online tutorials and other e-Learning training tools and materials.

3.      Communicates proactively with end users to ensure issues are clarified as relates to training, that they are effectively addressed, and resolved with appropriate urgency. Ensures end user satisfaction; maintains accountability throughout resolution, including when issue is delegated or handed off.

4.      Meets with attorney and staff groups to identify training needs and customizes training programs as needed.

5.      Skilled in the use of Teams and other online collaboration tools to facilitate training. Skilled in e-Learning authoring software such as Articulate/Storyline, Camtasia and EasyGenerator.

6.      Regularly applies learning and expertise to develop solutions and processes to anticipate future applications issues.

7.      Participates in the development of new training programs and initiatives, such as “Drop-Ins” for Tech Tips. Edits and modifies existing firm-wide content and develops learning content for small scale projects as needed.

8.      Provides professional interpretation for colleagues through coaching and knowledge sharing.

Ideal Candidate       

Education and Experience

1.      College level course work and related experience in Information Systems Technology preferred. 

2.      Five or more years of technical training and content authoring experience and experience in the design, development and delivery of technical training and supporting reference materials.

3.      Strong knowledge of Windows OS required.  In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

4.      Recent and relevant certification strongly desired.

5.      Knowledgeable in project management standards and guidelines.

6.      Law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred.
