Job Description
Our client is looking for product manager to join their Application Engineering team. The Application Engineering team builds and supports a variety of internal software, from libraries and tooling for other developers, to web apps that are used firmwide. We develop our own products or, if we find a fit, integrate vendor and open source solutions. The role offers the opportunity to be part of an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging working environment, as product managers work closely with groups across Systems and the broader firm.
WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY: You’ll manage some of the firm’s largest internally developed applications and vendor tools and liaise with stakeholders across the firm to drive project strategies and roadmaps. You’ll be responsible for analyzing business needs and feedback, defining requirements and priorities, collaborating with developers on execution, and driving communication strategies. You’ll play a significant role in improving firmwide product offerings. This dynamic role provides an opportunity to build relationships with leaders in systems, business operations, and software development teams.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Candidates should have two to five years of prior experience in a technical product manager role.• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are critical, as is a client-service mindset and the ability to build successful relationships within the department and across the firm. • An impressive technological foundation, including basic knowledge of core computer science concepts and familiarity with a large variety of technologies, is beneficial, as is experience with human-centered design, data analytics, or application infrastructure.
