Job Description
What You'll Do Day-to-Day:
- Design, implement, and optimize messaging infrastructure including Microsoft Exchange (on-premises and Online), Postfix, and client applications such as Outlook and Office 365.
- Serve as the senior escalation point and subject matter expert (SME) for mail systems, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
- Lead modernization efforts by migrating from Exchange Web Services (EWS) to Microsoft Graph API, addressing Outlook COM integrations, and revamping Postfix deployments.
- Collaborate with development teams on GenAI initiatives, including prototyping Outlook JavaScript add-ins and related integrations.
- Contribute to enhancing mail security and anti-spam strategies using tools like Proofpoint, maintaining a resilient mail environment.
Required Skills:
- 7–10 years of experience managing complex Exchange environments (on-premises and Online) and Postfix.
- Expertise in troubleshooting Outlook client issues and resolving mail system anomalies.
- Strong knowledge of mail security, anti-spam solutions, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with EWS, Graph API, MAPI, Office JavaScript, and related APIs.
- Proficiency with scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, and C#.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across teams.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with mail migration projects and platform modernization.
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud communication services and APIs.
- Additional certifications related to Microsoft 365, email security, or messaging infrastructure.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and automation tools.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in enterprise messaging system management and modernization initiatives.
