Job Description
Role Overview
This role offers the opportunity to lead data systems projects, optimize HR and enterprise applications, and improve data quality and workflow efficiency across a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in HRIS systems, particularly Workday, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system deployment, integration, and ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from HR, Finance, and leadership teams; develop scalable reporting, dashboards, and data visualization solutions using Power BI, Excel, and automation tools.
- Lead Workday implementation projects, including data migration, validation, testing, and system configuration, while working closely with system vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities within Workday and other HR systems to enhance data quality, system functionality, workflows, and automation processes.
- Investigate and resolve HR system performance issues, ensuring data integrity, compliance with data privacy standards, and adherence to data governance policies.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, storage solutions, and integrations with non-Workday systems such as Aderant, Sierra/ CMS, Deal Cloud, and MDD.
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors for seamless ERP and legal financial system integrations (e.g., 3E, Aderant, Sierra).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system processes, workflows, and data architecture.
- Support ad hoc data analysis and reporting requests from leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
Core Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Human Resources, Business Analytics, or related field
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in HR systems management, data analysis, or enterprise application integration, preferably in legal or professional services firms
- Proven experience with Workday HRIS implementation, configuration, and integrations in a legal or professional services environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Power BI, and automation/ORCHESTRATION tools
- Experience with API integration, SFTP/data exchange, and security standards (encryption, certificates: x509, PGP)
- Knowledge of legal financial systems such as Aderant, 3E, and Sierra/CMS
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating across HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong strategic thinking with a focus on process improvement and technology solutions
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with Deal Cloud, MDD, and workflow automation tools
- Familiarity with legal-specific systems, data governance, and compliance standards
- Vendor management experience, especially working with Workday implementation partners

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000, commensurate with experience.
Flexible work arrangements: NY-based; ideally three days in-office, two days remote.
