Our client, an early childhood education institution, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team in NJ!

- Oversee the school's accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Conduct monthly general ledger reviews and finalize monthly closings.
- Reconcile annual giving records.
- Manage investment funds and facilitate transfers.
- Maintain records of fixed assets.
- Prepare schedules and documentation for the annual financial audit.
- Administer student billing through Blackbaud Tuition Management.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure adherence to payment plans.
- Reconcile monthly reports with the general ledger.
- Supervise incoming cash receipts and deposits, including investments.
- Provide weekly cash reports to the Finance Committee.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and cash account reviews.
- Reconcile investment accounts monthly and distribute reports to the Investment Committee.
- Compile and submit periodic surveys and reports for school associations (e.g., NJAIS).
- Prepare required reports for government entities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in non-profit and/or fund accounting preferred.
