Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technology Trainer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join our team. Depending on your experience level, you will take on a range of responsibilities, with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The Technology Trainer / Senior Technology Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering training programs for Firm personnel, focusing on both general and legal-specific technology. These programs may be delivered in classrooms, through eLearning, or via personalized training sessions.
  • The Technology Trainer ensures employees understand the key software tools and features necessary to efficiently perform their job functions.
  • The Senior Technology Trainer operates with minimal supervision and uses deep expertise to plan and achieve goals.


Key Responsibilities (Varies by Experience Level)

Mid-Level Technology Trainer
  • Analyze trends and user feedback to identify training needs.
  • Design, promote, and assess technology training and orientation programs to address user requirements.
  • Deliver engaging, interactive in-person and virtual training sessions, including new hire onboarding, regional training, and customized sessions for specific teams or individuals.
  • Provide troubleshooting and end-user support related to software issues, track, and resolve tickets according to internal guidelines.
  • Create and update training materials, such as outlines, reference guides, tips, visual aids, eLearning content, and course invitations.
  • Maintain Firm-wide and regional office training schedules.
  • Collaborate with IT and administrative leadership to prioritize training strategies.
  • Manage course sessions and track user progress/attendance in the Learning Management System.
  • Prepare progress reports and summarize findings for management.
  • Work with IT teams to evaluate and test system upgrade functionalities.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams on special projects as needed.

Senior Technology Trainer
  • In addition to the responsibilities above, the Senior Technology Trainer will:
    • Analyze feedback from training programs, set quality benchmarks, and develop strategies for program improvement.
    • Assist in coaching team members when necessary.


Qualifications (Varies by Experience Level)

Mid-Level Technology Trainer
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least seven (7) years of related work experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with eLearning software and online training tools.
  • Proficiency with desktop productivity and document management software.
  • Experience with macOS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and applications (e.g., MS 365 Copilot, ChatGPT) is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, motivational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel occasionally.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Quick to learn new concepts and technologies.

Senior Technology Trainer
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least five (5) years of related work experience.
  • All the qualifications and responsibilities of the Mid-Level Technology Trainer, plus:
    • Advanced knowledge of eLearning design and development, including eLearning software and training tools.
    • Advanced expertise in desktop productivity and document management software.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Ability to set quality benchmarks and implement improvement strategies for training programs.
    • Support in coaching team members as needed.
