Our client, a multinational law firm, is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to join their team! This position can be based in SF, Palo Alto, LA, SD, Denver, Austin, Boston, NYC, or Washington, D.C.
The Senior Data Scientist, reporting to the Director of Data Science Analytics, plays a key role in advancing the firm’s strategic, operational, and legal service objectives through the use of data science. This individual collaborates closely with leadership to shape and execute data strategy, identify required resources and tools, and drive buy-in across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director in leading the firm’s data science initiatives, including strategic planning and daily operations.

  • Leverage firm data and analytics tools to generate insights and support cross-functional projects.

  • Build and maintain the firm’s data infrastructure, including the master data model and integrations.

  • Collaborate with Information Governance, Security, and Technology teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.

  • Develop models, applications, and prototypes across various business areas (e.g., legal operations, HR, finance), translating findings into actionable tools.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on data science experience with proven impact.

  • Strong skills in Python, R, and T-SQL; familiarity with Azure, AWS, Tableau, Power BI, and Posit tools a plus.

  • Experience in developing decision support tools and applying AI/ML techniques.

  • Background in the legal industry and recognition as a thought leader in data science is highly valued.
