Job Description
Role Overview
- As a Senior Workday HRIS Analyst, you will provide both functional and technical support for HR applications while partnering with internal teams and external vendors to resolve system issues.
- You will drive process improvements, manage testing and data integrity for HR system changes, and support HR technology upgrades across multiple Workday modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary technical support analyst for Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll system projects and initiatives.
- Provide functional and technical support, including identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving Workday system problems.
- Ensure data integrity by supporting testing of system changes, validating outcomes, and supporting report writing.
- Continuously identify process improvement opportunities to optimize HR system value and improve customer service for system users.
- Manage Workday system access and security procedures; perform data audits to support accurate and appropriate access controls.
- Develop, implement, and maintain user procedures, guidelines, and HR business process documentation.
- Perform analysis of HR functionality, recommend process improvements, and support system enhancements tied to Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll.
- Lead projects and coordinate relationships across IT, Finance, HR managers, HR vendors, and other subject matter experts to ensure solutions meet customer needs.
- Participate in planning, testing, and implementation activities for Workday upgrades and enhancements.
- Stay current on trends in HR technology and understand statutory and regulatory requirements affecting HR, Benefits, Recruitment, and Payroll systems.
- Maintain working knowledge of privacy requirements (including HIPAA and GDPR) and help ensure HR data is protected.
Core Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–6 years of HR and HRIS system experience with strong knowledge of Human Resources, Benefits, and Payroll processes and policies.
- Project Management and/or experience with HRMS (Human Capital Management) implementation.
- Hands-on expertise with Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence.
- Advanced analytical skills with a demonstrated understanding of concepts and issues unique to managing HR data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both non-technical and technical stakeholders.
- Client-service mindset and professional demeanor to support system users and promote team collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Workday Custom Reporting experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
- Additional HRIS implementation exposure related to Benefits and Recruitment workflows.
