Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our finance and technology team. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between the finance and IT departments, responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting financial systems and processes. This role will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of financial data across multiple platforms while driving continuous improvements to meet evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems including Aderant, ERP, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to gather and document system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Analyze current financial processes and systems to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvement.
- Manage system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities for Aderant and related systems, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users to maximize system adoption and efficiency.
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including process flows, user guides, and technical manuals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing system expertise and data insights.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to financial systems.
- Support special projects related to financial technology and data analytics as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems analysis or related roles.
- Must have hands-on experience with Aderant financial management software.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems such as ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), budgeting, and reporting tools.
- Proven experience in system implementation, upgrades, and integrations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
- Proficient in SQL, data querying, and financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Cognos, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
