Senior Manager of Enterprise Engineering

Job Description

Lead and manage the Enterprise Engineering team to ensure operational excellence and the achievement of team goals.

Oversee software and hardware release management, ensuring seamless deployments for Desktop, Mobile, and Virtual Desktop environments.

Identify, resolve, and proactively address systemic issues across Desktop, Virtual Desktop, and Mobile platforms to ensure optimal user experience.

Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge desktop and mobile technologies to drive continuous improvement and business agility.

Manage patching processes for all Windows, desktop, and mobile platforms, ensuring security and performance standards are maintained.

Track, analyze, and report on key metrics and KPIs related to desktop, VDI, and mobile operations.

Ensure that Desktop and Mobile environments remain stable, secure, and high-performing across the organization.

Oversee licensing, software deployment, mobile device management (MDM), and ensure adherence to policies for both Apple iOS and Windows environments.

Proven experience managing engineering teams, particularly in high-availability enterprise environments.

Ability to manage a 24/7 team, ensuring support for production systems and handling both on-call and after-hours requests.

Strong expertise in software and hardware release management, process documentation, and creation of release notes.

Extensive experience with desktop imaging, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), mobile support, and tools such as Active Directory, Office365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and more.

Deep understanding of Windows OS, Apple iOS, SCCM, AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop), and other desktop and mobile technologies.

Proficient in user profile management, mobile device management (MDM), and related technologies.

Expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity best practices to safeguard systems.

Experience in leading initiatives related to cloud computing, data analytics, and enterprise system solutions.

Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices in desktop and mobile environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field is required.

7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise systems, with a focus on desktop, mobile, and virtual desktop environments.
