Senior Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
Paralegal Responsibilities:

Utilize a comprehensive range of knowledge and skills to efficiently handle intricate cases, demonstrating expertise in legal procedures, project management, cost-effectiveness, and collaborative abilities; proficiently identify, advocate, and implement technologies to enhance efficiency in task execution.

Manage intricate cases by establishing relationships, both internally and externally, to gather necessary data and information and to establish networks of pertinent resources and services.

Juggle multiple concurrent projects and prioritize assignments accordingly; devise and implement effective organizational and procedural techniques.

Examine and analyze documents and data, conduct procedural and factual research with a grasp of client, case, and business requirements; offer insightful analysis, recommendations, and solutions to advance case objectives.

Establish and maintain, or supervise the maintenance of, files, documents, and data.

Prepare and refine various written materials, including correspondence, memoranda, drafts of legal documents, and factual analyses.

Supervise and provide direction to other paralegals and temporary staff, as necessary, through training and mentoring; offer feedback on performance as appropriate.

Adhere to administrative requirements to meet billable expectations; compile and submit timenotes daily; prepare and submit timecards weekly.
Litigation Responsibilities:

Assist in all phases of a matter from the initiation of the case through trial or resolution.

Aid in document collections, reviews, and productions.

Coordinate the management of case documents, including organizing, reviewing, and producing documents.

Collaborate with the firm’s eDiscovery Resource Management team to oversee document databases and coordinate electronic discovery proceedings.

Assist in the preparation of court filings, including fact-checking legal briefs, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and compiling exhibits and appendices.

Assist with depositions, including preparing witness files, exhibits, notices and subpoenas, and summarizing depositions.

Conduct factual or legal research; examine public records; monitor legislative and administrative proceedings as assigned; locate witnesses; trace documents and other physical evidence.

Assist with trial preparation and logistics, including preparing witness files, managing exhibits, setting up trial space, and attending trial, as required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Seven years relevant experience in practice area or comparable work experience preferred.
