Senior Developer
Job Description
The Phoenix Group Advisors is conducting a search for a Senior Developer role within a leading asset management firm specializing in investment and trading systems. This position focuses on developing and maintaining enterprise-level applications supporting the firm’s Order Management System (OMS) to ensure high performance and system reliability.
The Senior Developer owns the design, development, and optimization of mission-critical trading and investment applications, collaborating with traders, portfolio managers, and compliance teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs. The role involves building scalable systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing best practices in software development and CI/CD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain OMS-integrated applications
- Collaborate with traders and stakeholders for requirement translation
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Mentor junior developers and support team development
- Apply design patterns, unit testing, and SOLID principles
- Support microservices architecture and distributed streaming technologies
Core Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Expertise in C#/.NET Core, SQL Server, and Object-Oriented Programming
- Strong understanding of OMS, trading systems, and asset management concepts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Azure, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven problem-solving skills in trading or financial applications
- Prior experience in asset management or hedge fund environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
