Role Overview
The Senior Conflicts Analyst will oversee comprehensive conflict checks for new clients and matters, ensuring prompt and accurate review in collaboration with legal teams and administrative staff. This position plays a vital role in managing conflicts related to lateral attorney and staff hires, supporting confidentiality protocols, and maintaining the integrity of conflict databases to facilitate smooth onboarding, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough conflict checks for new client and matter intake, reviewing requests efficiently and accurately in coordination with attorneys, legal assistants, and firm personnel.
  • Analyze conflicts associated with attorney and staff lateral hires and facilitate confidential onboarding by implementing ethical walls and information barriers as needed.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track conflict waiver requests, ensuring proper documentation and timely execution.
  • Maintain and enhance the conflicts database by correcting inaccurate or outdated party information, researching related parties, and participating in large-scale data cleanup and reconciliation projects.
  • Support various conflicts and intake system administration, including responding to user inquiries, providing training, and ensuring system functionality aligns with firm policies.
  • Identify workflow improvement opportunities, recommend system and process enhancements, and assist in developing departmental policies to optimize conflicts management.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure adherence to compliance standards, efficient service delivery, and timely communication regarding conflicts issues.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, ongoing training, and special projects, exercising sound judgment and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Core Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of conflict analysis experience in a large legal or professional services environment.
  • Proven hands-on expertise with Intapp Open or comparable conflicts management software.
  • Experience managing conflicts databases with a focus on data accuracy, reconciliation, and integrity.
  • Familiarity with conflict systems such as Elite 3E, iManage, and Intapp Walls is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with attorneys, administrators, and leadership.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Availability to work a standard schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience with legal ethics and confidentiality protocols.
  • Prior exposure to large-scale data integrity projects in legal or similar professional environments.
