As an SQL Developer and Data Analyst at XXXXX, you will gain hands? on experience in the fast-growing world of securities and derivative instruments litigation settlements, while working with experienced industry leaders. The role entails system enhancements to improve data quality, automatically detect and correct issues, streamline the process and create various tools, utilities and reports to enhance and improve overall productivity in the workflow.   The successful candidate will work directly with managers, business experts, data analysts, software developers and client services to investigate issues, analyze, model and implement solutions, and to enhance and create various reports and system self-checks. In this role, one would be a key part of the Data Analysis team which is highly visible and plays a critical role in achieving overall company goals.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with managers, analysts developers and client services
  • Analyze and assess large volumes of varying data
  • Work independently and extensively with SQL in data analysis
  • Create, enhance and maintain various quality control SQL code
  • Research inquiries, validate data patterns and solve complex business problems using SQL
  • Analyze and model solutions for issues and requests in order to enhance and improve the overall system and data workflow
  • Monitor data and implement data integrity validation across the staging and production environments

 

Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a technology related major
  • Driven and dynamic individual that can work with their peers to drive projects to success
  • Background in financial Industry oriented Information Systems a plus, specifically financial markets transactions knowledge
  • Must have a working knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL, data analysis and data modeling
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive with a high level of integrity and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented with exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving ability with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible, comfortable working in a fast paced environment and able to adapt to quick changes
  • Minimum work experience of 5 years required
