Risk Management - Conflict Clerk

Job Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Risk Management - Conflict Clerk to join their team!
Key Responsibilities:

Manage conflict of interest checks and oversee the entire matter intake process from start to finish.

Evaluate complex or unique requests, interpret conflict data, and determine appropriate resolution strategies.

Review conflict reports, identify potential issues, and provide well-informed recommendations for attorney consideration.

Communicate conflict-related information clearly, follow up as needed, and ensure complete and accurate documentation.

Research new clients and other assigned tasks using third-party business databases.

Stay updated on professional conduct rules and client relationship standards.

Contribute to special projects and support additional tasks as assigned.

Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure high-quality departmental output.

Be available for approved overtime, including rotating coverage for weekend and holiday emails and conflict checks.
Required Qualifications:
-
At least two years of relevant experience (e.g., legal research, paralegal, or clerking), or one year of direct conflict-checking experience in a law firm—law firm experience strongly preferred.

Professional demeanor with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Strong attention to detail, time management, and sound judgment.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook is preferred.

Experience with legal documents is a plus.
