Job Description
Responsibilities:

Act as the main contact for billing setup questions from Partners and legal staff.

Enter and manage client billing data in the accounting system, including budgets, rates, and special billing instructions.

Validate billing setups for accuracy to ensure timely and compliant invoicing per client requirements and guidelines.

Confirm billing documentation, rates, and fee agreements are correctly applied for each matter.

Collaborate across departments—attorneys, billing teams, and client service staff—to ensure smooth handling of billing information during new client intake.

Support standardization and process improvements as the firm grows.

Uphold firm billing policies and educate stakeholders on procedures to align with firm and client objectives.

Assist with ad hoc projects, reports, and other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).

At least two years of general accounting experience and one year in legal or electronic billing within a law firm.

Familiarity with billing systems like Aderant or Elite is required; experience with Intapp OPEN Intake is a plus.

Proficient in Excel and skilled in financial data analysis.

Detail-oriented, analytical, and self-motivated problem-solver.

Comfortable working with legal contracts and documents.

Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines.
