One of our NYC based clients in the Telecom industry is looking for a Mid-Senior level Project Manager with a background in low voltage cabling.
Key Functions of Project Manager:
o Work with design and sales teams to ensure thorough understanding of the project scope of work.
o Organize, coordinate, schedule and manage labor associated with projects.
o Interface with clients and represent the company to the highest possible standards.
o Plan, implement and successfully manage projects efficiently and ensure scope of work is completed, designs are followed and high quality standards are maintained.
Operations Responsibilities include:
o Attend Bid walk through and work with Estimating to help develop SOW (scope of work).
o Establish project Work Teams, work flow and critical path plan
o Forecast job flow and develop work schedules for operations & team
o Overall Supervision of DAS & ICT projects and personnel
o Understand system designs and layouts and working with Engineering and on site construction team for planning and implementation
o Work with carriers, vendors, partners and clients to ensure exceptional service
o Control overtime and maximize schedule efficiency, job cost accounting
o Develop efficient processes for Project Management and Operations teams
o Workflow, paperwork and reports, material management, etc.
o Oversee tools, testers and material management
o Receive ongoing Project Logs and develop reports, update management
o Maintain adherence to company and union policies
o Review and authorize labor time sheets and invoices for any subcontracted labor
o Ensure training needs are planned for and met
o Provide Technical leadership and guidance for operations career development
o Ensure thorough documentation for all assigned projects
o Help create and manage departmental and project budgets
You must have:
o An excellent work ethic and leadership skills
o Outstanding written and oral communication skills
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
o Ability to coordinate with key personnel from multiple trades
o Ability to act as an intermediary between Estimating, Sales, Account Managers & Operations
o Experience working in MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word
o A college degree or related technical/management experience
Desired Experience & Credentials include:
o 3+ years’ experience as an ICT, Security and/or AV Project Manager or Job foreman role managing construction projects and labor
o A technical and/or design background in the Security, AV and/or Structured Cabling is preferred.
o BICSI RTPM or PMP
