About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Product Owner focused on data & front-end technologies to join our new product development team. This role offers the opportunity to help build and launch leading-edge financial data and analytic software products for XXXXX Agency and its new affiliate, as well as our growing capital markets clientele. You will work in a dynamic group with cross-functional resources. You will contribute to the product vision, gather and prioritize features and requirements. In addition, you will collaborate with business leaders, product owners, developers and technology partners and help build our culture of innovation. 


About You

  • Are passionate about data specifically within financial services
  • Have the ability to interpret data and understand data models and architectures
  • Are passionate about front-end web application development
  • Are comfortable with integration of back-end and front-end systems
  • Have experience with financial software products
  • Are interested in hands-on user testing
  • Have experience coordinating geographically dispersed teams
  • Can be autonomous and self-driven
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have 3-7 years of experience in product development, financial software or financial services


In this role, you will:
  • You will be a contributing member of an Agile Scrum team accountable for delivering high quality software to customers
  • Utilize advanced SQL skills to write custom queries. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and related tools is required.
  • Participate in the scoping of proposed features, and work with Content Managers, Product Managers, or other Project Mangers to turn ideas/features into actionable developer specifications (user stories)
  • Dig in to complicated technical details surrounding product requirements and specifications
  • Executes on Product Roadmap
  • Own the product backlog
  • Document story details via JIRA
  • Drive iteration goals and iteration content via prioritized stories
  • Attend and/or facilitate scrum meetings including standups, retrospectives, and demos
  • Partner with developers and strategize or clarify requirements
  • Facilitate and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
