Portfolio Analytics Engineer – Vice President
Location: Greenwich, CT
Salary Range: $165,000 – $185,000 + discretionary annual bonus
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and versatile developer to join our Portfolio Analytics Engineering team. This team supports portfolio managers and portfolio implementation teams, turning quantitative insights into actionable investment strategies. You will play a key role in enhancing our proprietary portfolio implementation platform, which drives the success of systematic investment processes across diverse strategies.
Responsibilities:

Develop new features and support legacy systems across multiple programming languages and tech stacks.

Work with Java-based, service-oriented architectures running in AWS containers.

Collaborate with portfolio managers to answer questions, explain results, perform ad-hoc analysis, and implement new processes in Python.

Prioritize urgent and long-term development work, balancing quick fixes with permanent solutions.

Support the team in optimal portfolio construction, monitoring processes, and onboarding new methodologies.
Qualifications:

6–8+ years of relevant industry experience; degree in Computer Science or related field.

Strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills.

Expertise in Java and Spring Boot; experience with Python, NumPy, and Pandas is a plus.

Solid SQL and relational database experience (Postgres, SQL Server, or similar).

Familiarity with financial mathematics and practical application to portfolio metrics is desirable.

Experience with service-based architectures (REST) and modern software lifecycle tools (Git, Jira, Jenkins).

Excellent communication skills and interest in understanding financial instruments and portfolio optimization.
