Job Description
- Paralegal Responsibilities
- Apply diverse knowledge and skills to manage complex cases effectively
- Utilize legal procedures, project management, and collaborative skills
- Identify and apply technologies for efficiency
- Develop relationships to gather data and create networks
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks
- Review documents, conduct research, and provide insightful analysis
- Create and maintain files, documents, and data
- Oversee other paralegals, providing guidance and feedback
- Meet billable expectations, prepare timenotes and timecards
- Litigation Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of matters from inception to trial or resolution
- Help with document collections, reviews, and productions
- Coordinate case document management
- Consult with eDiscovery Resource Management team
- Assist in court filing preparation, including fact checking and proofreading
- Support depositions, including preparing files and exhibits
- Conduct factual and legal research, locate witnesses and evidence
- Assist with trial preparation and logistics, attending trial as required
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Seven years relevant experience in practice area or comparable work experience preferred.
