Job Description
- Provide support throughout all stages of a case, from initiation to trial or settlement.
- Assist with tasks such as collecting, reviewing, and producing documents.
- Oversee the organization, review, and production of case documents.
- Collaborate with the firm’s eDiscovery Resource Management team to manage document databases and coordinate electronic discovery processes.
- Help prepare court filings by checking citations and facts in legal briefs, ensuring proper Bluebook citations, proofreading, and assembling exhibits and appendices.
- Support deposition processes, including preparing witness files, exhibits, notices, subpoenas, and deposition summaries.
- Conduct factual and legal research, examine public records, monitor legislative and administrative proceedings as directed, locate witnesses, and trace documents and other evidence.
- Assist with trial preparation and logistics, including organizing witness files, managing exhibits, setting up trial space, and attending trial as needed.
- A significant portion of this role will involve handling cases before the International Trade Commission (ITC) and patent litigation matters in federal court, so experience in these areas is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Four or more years relevant experience in practice area or comparable work experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and resolving issues proactively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow complex instructions with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to research, synthesize, and communicate large amounts of complex data.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet business and client needs.
- Flexibility to travel may be required
