Job Title: Legal Secretary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful problem solver who can manage a high-volume workload, take initiative on projects, and anticipate challenges before they arise. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter with a strong ethical foundation and a commitment to client service.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a high volume of client communications, including email correspondence

Interact professionally with clients: schedule appointments, prepare for meetings, coordinate Notary Public services

Create and maintain client binders
-
Transcribe, draft, and proofread legal correspondence and documents

Accurately enter attorney time on a daily basis

Monitor and maintain attorneys’ calendars
-
Assist with monthly billing processes

Organize and manage special projects as assigned

Maintain accurate client and referral contact records

Work occasional overtime as needed

Collaborate effectively with attorneys and office support staff
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required; degree in Business Administration preferred

Prior experience in Trusts & Estates law highly preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat

Experience with Aderant and/or Time Expert is a plus – must be willing to learn internal systems

High level of discretion and ability to maintain client confidentiality

Exceptional attention to detail

Ability to work independently under pressure and manage a full workload

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Proven ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
Compensation & Benefits:
-
Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 per year, based on experience

Status: Non-exempt, eligible for overtime

Schedule: 35-hour work week
-
Paid Time Off: 25 days annually
