Job Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Managing the attorney’s schedule.
- Crafting legal papers and correspondence.
- Handling e-filings within state and federal court frameworks.
- Electronically recording documents through CSC and generating reports for billing purposes.
- Collaborating with courts to arrange hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings, ensuring their efficient and timely execution.
- Composing clear and concise correspondence for real estate and litigation cases.
- Assisting in the preparation of discovery documents.
- Contributing to case and trial preparations.
- Conducting legal research, managing dockets, and overseeing case progression.
- Employing the accounting system for billing procedures.
- Demonstrating proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients, court personnel, and colleagues.
- Adopting a proactive problem-solving approach and the capacity to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Fulfilling additional tasks as required.
