Legal Billing Specialist

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Review and edit prebills using Prebill Viewer and Aderant in accordance with instructions from Billing Attorneys.

Prepare and generate a high volume of complex client invoices through Aderant.

Ensure all invoices adhere to client billing guidelines and include all necessary supporting documentation prior to submission.

Submit electronic bills via EHub, attaching all required documentation.

Monitor invoice statuses, promptly addressing any rejections, reductions, or items requiring appeal.

Handle billing-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Assist with special projects and generate ad hoc reports as needed or assigned.

Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and strong follow-up capabilities.

Proactive in identifying billing discrepancies and recommending effective resolutions.

Ability to perform well under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.

Skilled at building and maintaining positive relationships across all levels of the firm.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in legal billing is required.

Experience with Aderant or Elite/3E is preferred, along with familiarity with tools such as Prebill Viewer, E-billing Hub, and Bill Blast.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
