Legal Assistant Billing Specialist

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Support the editing of time and expense entries in the billing system based on instructions from Billing Attorneys.

Assist in the preparation and processing of a high volume of complex client invoices.

Collaborate with Billing Specialists to ensure invoices meet all client billing guidelines and include the necessary supporting documentation prior to submission.

Help submit electronic invoices along with all required attachments.

Work with Billing Specialists to track and promptly address invoice rejections, reductions, and appeals.

Respond to billing-related inquiries and provide assistance as needed.

Contribute to special projects and prepare ad hoc reports as assigned.

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a polished and professional presence.

Capable of efficiently managing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated and resourceful, able to work independently with minimal supervision while actively contributing to a team.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capabilities.

Proactive and dependable, with sound judgment and strong follow-through on tasks.

Able to perform well under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.

Skilled at building and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships across all levels of an organization.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required.

Minimum 1-3 years of prior work experience.

Proficiency in Excel required.
