Job Description


Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team in Los Angeles! 
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, proofread, and finalize a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.

  • Electronically file legal documents with state and federal courts, ensuring adherence to all filing requirements and deadlines.

  • Serve as a key liaison for clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and external vendors.

  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, accurately relaying messages to attorneys in a timely manner.

  • Manage and maintain attorneys’ calendars, scheduling hearings, depositions, client meetings, and critical deadlines.

  • Coordinate and confirm appointments with clients, witnesses, and court reporters.

  • Prepare and submit expense reports and assist with time entry and billing processes.

  • Track deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely completion.

  • Provide general administrative support and handle additional tasks as assigned.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a litigation legal assistant, preferably in a mid-size to large law firm.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience with document management systems (e.g., iManage).

  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court rules.

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
