Job Description
Position: Senior Systems Engineering Lead
This hybrid leadership and technical position involves overseeing team workflows, optimizing the use of time, budget, and personnel resources, and serving as a hands-on technical expert. The individual will be expected to allocate tasks strategically, guide infrastructure projects, and ensure delivery quality while remaining deeply involved in core systems support. The ideal candidate has experience across identity/access tools (e.g., single sign-on systems), endpoint operating systems (especially macOS), collaborative cloud platforms, infrastructure across major providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise device and user management solutions. Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and basic networking is essential.

Proficient in using IT task tracking platforms and service desk solutions
Key Duties & Areas of Ownership:
Leadership & Oversight:

Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the technical team

Assign tasks based on priorities, skills, and deadlines

Manage resource planning and financial forecasting for department initiatives

Identify inefficiencies or risk areas in current technical systems and introduce new approaches

Promote team development through mentorship and tech enablement

Set the bar for performance and act as a technical role model
Systems Management:

Maintain and fine-tune existing device and access control frameworks
-
Apply operational best practices for performance and security

Develop and maintain custom system integrations and automation pipelines

Oversee the full lifecycle of Apple/Linux-based environments
-
Provide internal systems-level support for engineering teams

Act as the final point of escalation for complex user support needs

Administer email systems including configuration, routing, and analysis tools
Operational Support & Stability:

Lead incident resolution efforts for advanced systems-level issues

Contribute to continuity planning and resilience testing for office infrastructure

Support data compliance through testing and maintaining retention protocols
Other Contributions:

Encourage continuous improvement by offering feedback on existing support workflows

Contribute to special projects or cross-functional initiatives as needed

Handle legal and compliance-related data holds and collections when required
Background & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience

At least five years in a leadership capacity managing technical support or infrastructure teams

Hands-on experience supporting multiple geographically dispersed locations or branch offices
