XXXX Company  has an urgent need for front office trading support analyst. They want someone who has experience with the order management system Valdi or Fidessa

- wants someone with experience with cash equity trading desk

~$120k plus bonus 

~ two rotating shifts either 7 am- 4 pm or 10  am - 7pm.there will be minimal weekend work and when there is, they can take days off during the week

- reports to head of tech operations 

 

Job Summary

 The Lead Support Analyst, Execution and Core Services is responsible for maintaining trading and FIX application systems.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

·          Provider hands on systems support to equity traders (knowledge of VALDI, FIDESSA, FLEXTrade a plus)

·          Provide advisory services to trading desk for functional use cases and configuration of Trading systems 

·          Onboard FIX client, troubleshoot FIX order routing issues.

·          Proactive and continuous monitoring to regional and global systems.

·          Start of day morning check and health monitoring , end of day APAC system checks, hand over to APAC team.

·          Investigate trade related issues and resolving or engaging with application owners to provide effective issue and problem management and rapid resolution 

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

·          In depth working knowledge of  how equity (CASH, ALGO, Program Trading) trading desk operates.

·          In depth knowledge of   CASH, ALGO and Program Trading EMS systems.

·          Proficient in Equity FIX protocol and experience working on FIX systems. 

·          Proficient in SQL (should be willing to take a basic SQL language test)

·          Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Experience & Education

 

·          4-Year degree 

·          Minimum 6 years  experience supporting trading desk with sales traders and dealers as an IT trading system support specialist.

·          Minimum 2 years  experience working on FIX onboarding. Can be part of the 3 yr trading system work experience.

·          Experience in commercial OMS\EMS preferred (FIDESSA, VALDI, FLEXTRADE, Charles River, Eze Castle).

·          Hands on experience troubleshooting FIX relates issues in LINUX environment

·          Hands on experience querying DB (Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL).
