Job Description

Our client is seeking an International Estate Planning Attorney to join any of their offices.
Qualifications
  • Strong academic credentials with a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
  • Active member, in good standing, in the Connecticut, New York or Florida Bars
  • Currently advising U.S. clients with foreign assets:
    • On the proper structures to hold these assets to minimize U.S. taxes
    • Coordinating with foreign Counsel
    • On structuring estate plan documents to benefit foreign beneficiaries
    • Married to a non-U.S. citizen
    • On tax and estate planning structures to minimize U.S. estate and gift taxes
    • On renouncing U.S. citizenship or abandoning long-term permanent residency
    • On structuring ownership in foreign businesses to minimize U.S. tax
  • Drafting U.S. estate plan documents for U.S. clients with foreign assets or foreign beneficiaries while coordinating with foreign Counsel
  • Administering estates of U.S. clients with foreign assets
  • Advising foreign clients with U.S. assets:
    • On structuring investments in the U.S.
    • On the acquisition of U.S. real estate
    • On tax efficient structures to transfer assets to U.S. beneficiaries
    • On pre-immigration planning
  • Drafting U.S. estate plan documents for foreign clients with U.S. assets or U.S. beneficiaries while coordinating with foreign counsel
  • Administering estates of foreign individuals with U.S. assets
  • Advising foreign clients on U.S. reporting requirements for foreign investments transferred from foreign entities or individuals to the U.S. equivalent
