Job Description
Role Summary:
This position works closely with the Client Accounting team and assigned partners to manage client accounts, ensure billing accuracy, and maintain compliance with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Client Accounting team and partners to oversee client account management.
- Track and manage assigned patent/trademark portfolios, ensuring accurate and complete data mapping for e-billed clients.
- Assist with client onboarding, communicating billing and portfolio management requirements.
- Access the firm's financial system to gather data, facilitate reporting, and support billing processes.
- Review and revise proformas, ensuring accuracy and proper tracking of related clients and patent families.
- Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies, including vendor invoices and foreign associate billing issues.
- Process billing adjustments, transfers, and narrative edits within the firm's financial system.
- Assist in finalizing and electronically delivering invoices for assigned clients.
- Create client-specific invoice summaries when required.
- Ensure thorough tracking of invoice distribution from proforma creation to final client delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
- Three to five years of trademark experience preferred
- Prior experience with Chrome River, Elite Financial System (Enterprise or 3E) and an IP docketing system preferred.
- Experience working in a large law firm preferred.
