Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer management.

Lead new hire orientation and ensure a smooth and comprehensive onboarding experience.

Oversee the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
Benefits Administration

Coordinate benefit-related activities including new hire enrollment, annual open enrollment, and ongoing employee education.

Serve as the primary contact for benefits inquiries and claims resolution.

Administer insurance billing, identify and resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with payroll to ensure accuracy.

Organize health and wellness programs such as flu clinics, blood drives, and First Aid/CPR/AED training.
HR Systems & Reporting

Maintain and update HRIS systems; generate recurring and ad-hoc reports as needed.

Process and verify employment eligibility using E-Verify and maintain I-9 documentation.

Prepare employment-related documentation for staff, paralegals, and attorneys.

Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and compliance.
Compliance

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.

Maintain employee records and files in accordance with legal and organizational standards.

Assist with audits and regulatory reporting, including EEO-1 and ACA compliance.
Employee Relations
-
Provide guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures.

Address workplace concerns, support conflict resolution, and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
Performance Management

Support the annual performance review process, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

Track and maintain performance-related documentation and follow through on necessary actions.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a professional services or law firm environment.

Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
-
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
-
High level of initiative, adaptability, and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
-
Ability to work extended hours when needed.
-
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
