Location: Field-Based – Primarily New Jersey, with some travel to New York
Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior IT Field Technician to support end users across multiple client environments. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys hands-on work, learning new technologies, and providing reliable technical support in a managed services environment. The technician will assist with onsite support requests, hardware deployments, and routine troubleshooting, working closely with senior technicians and the service desk.
Key Responsibilities

Provide onsite technical support for MSP clients across primarily New Jersey locations, with occasional travel to New York

Assist with desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral installations and replacements

Troubleshoot basic Windows and macOS issues, including connectivity, hardware, and software problems

Support user account setup, password resets, and access requests (under guidance)

Assist with basic network support tasks such as workstation connectivity, cabling, and device setup

Perform workstation deployments, new hire setups, and equipment refreshes

Accurately document work performed, time spent, and resolutions in the ticketing system

Follow established MSP processes and escalation procedures

Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence at client sites
Required Qualifications

0–2 years of IT support, field support, or help desk experience (internships or school projects welcome)

Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and common business applications

Familiarity with computer hardware, printers, and peripherals

Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with clients

Willingness to learn MSP tools, procedures, and best practices

Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to ~40 lbs)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred (Not Required)

Exposure to MSP environments or client-facing IT support

Familiarity with Office 365, Active Directory, or RMM/ticketing tools

CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level IT certification

Associate’s degree or coursework in Information Technology or a related field
