Facility Operation Lead L3
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong background in mission-critical environments. This role is ideal for someone who values engineering rigor, understands the realities of operating at scale, and enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges. You will help define and influence operational standards across multiple locations, with your work having a global impact.
Key Responsibilities

Act as a subject matter expert for data center critical infrastructure, supporting operations teams and leading technical escalations across facilities

Identify, assess, and manage design constraints and operational risks within data center environments

Partner closely with colocation providers and service vendors to review maintenance programs, audits, and performance outcomes

Lead and oversee change management processes for high-risk or complex maintenance activities

Serve as the onsite incident lead during critical events, coordinating with remote engineering and infrastructure specialists

Provide hands-on onsite support for infrastructure initiatives while maintaining strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams

Working knowledge of power and cooling capacity planning standards (e.g., TIA-942, ASHRAE)

Experience designing or operating redundant power architectures (e.g., N+1, 2N, distributed redundancy)

Understanding of cooling redundancy models and concurrent maintainability principles

Proven experience in one or more of the following areas:

Oversight of data hall construction and build-outs, including coordination of IT services, power, and cooling

Participation in commissioning activities, including validation testing from early-stage through full system acceptance

Hands-on electrical and/or mechanical systems experience (generators, UPS, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, electrical distribution, etc.)

Familiarity with GPU-based infrastructure and high-density compute platforms

Formal training, diploma, or certification in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field

Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments while managing multiple priorities
- Experience working with vendors, large projects, or cross-functional programs
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail
