Job Description
A respected, multi-office professional services firm is seeking an experienced Endpoint Engineer to join its Technology Services team. This is a hybrid position based in California, reporting to the Director of Technology Services. The role involves firm-wide responsibilities and may include occasional travel to regional offices.
Overview:
This role supports desktop engineering efforts across the firm, including software deployment, image creation, Intune migration, application packaging, and troubleshooting. The Endpoint Engineer acts as a senior escalation point and contributes to the improvement and standardization of end-user systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as a subject matter expert for desktop system and application deployments

Create install packages using Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune

Test and maintain firm-wide desktop images, including hardware and software compatibility

Lead transition from SCCM to Intune, including group policy migration

Automate deployments, manage patching (desktops, laptops, Citrix), and oversee imaging for standard PC models

Maintain a software installation library and ensure timely updates

Research and recommend hardware/software solutions to maintain a stable desktop environment

Troubleshoot escalated issues and resolve root causes

Serve as a technical lead on refresh and upgrade projects

Manage vendor relationships for endpoint-related services

Administer Group Policy and oversee Intune, image deployment, Citrix/VDI, and application packaging

Manage endpoint security: disk encryption, malware protection, MDM, Applocker, LAPS, and more

Participate in special projects and firm-wide initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field

Minimum of 3 years of technical experience supporting Windows desktop systems

Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune and Configuration Manager (current version)

Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office Suite, Active Directory, Group Policy, Citrix, and VDI solutions

Familiarity with imaging tools such as MDT, Ghost, or similar

Strong communication and documentation skills, with a professional demeanor suited for client-facing teams

Experience in a structured IT environment; legal industry background is a plus but not required
