Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with internal team members, clients, business partners, and vendors.
  • Oversee and manage client relationships, including identifying key issues, reviewing technical matters, developing strategies, and presenting solutions to senior executives; establish and maintain long-term client relationships, while monitoring the execution of follow-up actions.
  • Lead the technical aspects of client engagements, identifying needs for expert input and providing thorough analysis and strategic recommendations tailored to client situations.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and supervise non-legal team members, offering guidance and motivation to drive performance and achieve objectives.
  • Ensure all delegated tasks comply with professional standards, legal regulations, and the firm's ethical guidelines.
  • Perform quality assurance to ensure work is delivered on time, within scope, and meets high standards of quality.
  • Actively contribute to the firm’s growth and brand development.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including supporting responses to RFPs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to drive cost-effective operations and market expansion.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through various marketing channels, including articles, public speaking, webinars, conferences, and other PR efforts.
  • Provide timely and responsive client service to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Mentor and support the growth and professional development of team members, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to create objective performance metrics to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluations and goal setting for all employees.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven expertise in technical client management, project planning, facilitation, and leadership.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft 365 (M365) and related tools, including:
    • M365 Purview: Hands-on experience with eDiscovery functionality, configuration, labeling, retention policies, and legal hold management.
    • M365 Teams: Knowledge of storage, preservation, and litigation collection processes, along with retention management.
    • M365 SharePoint & OneDrive: Experience with preservation, identification, litigation collection, and setting retention policies.
  • Experience working in a legal context (e.g., information governance, eDiscovery, or litigation) with Google Workspace (G Suite).
  • Familiarity with mobile device management, including:
    • Managing preservation and collection of mobile device data (texts, messages, etc.).
    • Experience with archiving solutions for mobile messaging applications.
    • Proficiency in evaluating migration sufficiency for archiving solutions (e.g., migrating from an email journal archive to M365) from a preservation and legal defensibility perspective.
  • Expertise in investigating unfamiliar systems to understand their data structure, preservation, and collection processes.
  • Skilled in diagnosing data loss issues, identifying root causes, and developing technical findings and supporting evidence.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of experience in eDiscovery and information governance, preferably within a law firm, consulting firm, or corporate setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; Master’s degree or other advanced qualifications preferred.
