Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Create and deploy robust, scalable data integration solutions that ensure clean, structured data feeds into custom-built or commercial AI/analytics platforms.

Design and maintain event-driven and API-based integrations across cloud services, databases, internal applications, and third-party providers.

Prepare, clean, and standardize structured datasets for use in analytics, generative AI, and large language model (LLM) applications.

Work hand-in-hand with AI specialists, data scientists, and application teams to ensure timely, accurate, and well-structured data delivery.

Document transformation processes, workflows, and metadata catalogs to improve transparency, consistency, and reusability.

Develop systems capable of supporting both scheduled (batch) and real-time processing.

Help define best practices, templates, and repeatable patterns for data ingestion and transformation.

Monitor integrations proactively and troubleshoot performance or reliability issues.

Engage in all stages of the software lifecycle—from concept and design to deployment, testing, and ongoing support.

Apply DevOps principles, including automated deployments, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD practices.

Resolve technical problems quickly and apply preventative measures to avoid recurrence.

Keep up-to-date with Microsoft ecosystem updates, AI advancements, and emerging integration technologies.

Required Background & Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
-
Minimum 7 years in integration engineering roles (data, application, or middleware).
-
At least 4 years in AI and Machine Learning-focused IT environments.

Strong experience working with structured datasets and relational systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
-
Practical knowledge of APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and major integration frameworks/platforms.

Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP), data lakes, storage solutions, and streaming tools (Kafka, Event Grid).

Proven work building ETL/ELT pipelines and manipulating JSON, XML, and related formats.
-
Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and normalization concepts.
-
Awareness of data compliance, privacy standards, and security practices.
-
Proficiency in DevOps pipelines, Git workflows, and automation practices.
-
Experience preparing and integrating data for LLMs and AI/ML pipelines.

Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint integration is a plus.

Familiarity with semantic technologies such as vector databases, knowledge graphs, or enrichment techniques.

Prior work with data cataloging solutions is an advantage.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with a proactive, motivated mindset.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Strong customer service approach with excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

Experience collaborating with diverse IT and business teams, including data science units.
