Conflicts Analyst Manager
Job Description
The Phoenix Group Advisors is conducting a search for a Conflicts Analyst Manager at a mid-sized law firm specializing in professional services. This role leads the client intake and conflict resolution process, ensuring ethical compliance and client suitability.
The Conflicts Analyst Manager oversees the file opening procedures, supervises 2-3 conflicts team members, and collaborates with senior legal staff to mitigate conflicts of interest. The position involves analyzing conflict searches, researching corporate relationships, and advising on engagement and scope letters to support compliant client acceptance.
• Review client intake forms and conflict checks for potential ethical and business conflicts
• Conduct conflict searches using Intapp Open and online databases
• Analyze conflicts data to evaluate client and matter suitability
• Manage team workflow, process improvements, and staff performance
• Collaborate with attorneys, General Counsel, and HR on conflict resolution
• Perform corporate research to identify affiliations and relevant relationships
• Prepare conflict summaries for attorney review and lateral hire assessments
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and best practices in conflict management
• 5-7 years conflict resolution experience in law firm or professional services environment
• 2-3 years supervisory leadership experience
• Proficiency in conflict management software (e.g., Intapp Open)
• Experience with legal accounting/conflicts systems
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to manage high-volume workload and prioritize tasks
• Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field
