Job Description


Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage the CompAnalyst system, overseeing the uploading and maintenance of survey data results for market data analysis.

  2. Prepare compensation market analyses for external job offers, internal promotions, and other job changes, submitting them for review and approval by senior Human Resources management.

  3. Assist in ongoing market reviews and offer recommendations to ensure competitive salary ranges. Evaluate job descriptions and pay grades against current pay rates to identify areas for improvement, such as pay equity, pay compression, or high pay range penetration.

  4. Administer compensation review cycles, including pre-planning, launching in the CompXL tool, and processing and auditing payout files.

  5. Generate compensation reports for data auditing and analysis purposes.

  6. Participate in compensation surveys and manage vendor relationships.

  7. Use Job Architect to review and maintain job descriptions, ensuring alignment with job content, salary grades, FLSA exemptions, and organizational structure.

  8. Contribute to developing compensation education and training materials.

  9. Ensure the accuracy of compensation and job-related data in the HRMS system.

  10. Support the HR team with various research and special projects.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, maintaining a cooperative, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven capability in data auditing and discrepancy resolution.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge, analyze data from multiple sources, and solve problems using precedents or previous experience.
  • Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in compensation market data/analytics, job description software (e.g., Salary.com), and MS Office Suite with advanced Excel/data manipulation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and managers during job reviews.
  • Experience in an analytical role related to compensation programs and systems, proficient in HR-related software.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles and procedures.

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Certification as a Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification preferred.
