Role Overview
Manage end-to-end billing and collections for assigned attorneys and client portfolios, partnering closely with legal, pricing, and finance teams to ensure accurate billing, strong client relationships, and improved financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle billing and collections for assigned client and attorney portfolios

  • Advise attorneys and clients on billing structures, portfolio updates, and collection strategies

  • Establish and manage alternative fee arrangements including discounts, fee caps, fixed fees, and matter budgets

  • Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and e-billing requirements from engagement through collections

  • Review, analyze, finalize, and submit invoices; resolve billing issues and discrepancies

  • Manage client trust accounts, on-account billing, payment application, and unapplied funds

  • Prepare monthly billing and collections forecasts based on attorney and client input

  • Develop and deliver reporting to support matter management and profitability analysis

  • Review and implement engagement letters and outside counsel guidelines

  • Partner with attorneys on A/R reviews and recommend collection approaches

  • Identify process improvements, document best practices, and support departmental initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

  • 3+ years of specialized billing, collections, or account management experience

  • Experience performing complex accounting and financial analysis

  • Professional services or law firm experience preferred

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Proven ability to work independently while delivering high-level client service
