Job Description

Assist with the full billing process, including invoice distribution, logging, preparation, processing, and mailing.

Respond to billing inquiries from attorneys, clients, business professionals, and the billing team by providing timely and accurate support.

Compile and provide cost backup documentation as requested.

Research historical and current billing inquiries.

Prepare and file prior month billing records for electronic scanning and archiving.

Review and summarize engagement letters related to special financial arrangements.

Enter and maintain financial arrangements in the accounting system.

Update and maintain client and matter information within firm databases.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications following orientation.

Strong Excel skills.

Flexibility to work overtime as business needs require.

Bachelor’s degree.

Prior experience in billing, accounting, or a related role.

Previous law firm experience.

General understanding of accounting principles.

Experience with 3E and electronic billing systems.
