Job Description

Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Business Law/Real Estate Legal Assistant to join their team!  Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in drafting, proofreading, revising, and finalizing legal documents, including contracts, amendments, leases, letters of intent, term sheets, and closing instructions.
  • Prepare closing binders for completed real estate transactions.
  • Handle document distribution via electronic and physical means, including copying, mailing, courier services, and filing.
  • Maintain confidential files, records, legal documents, and reports.
  • Manage intake and conflict checks, process time entries, and assist with client billing.
  • Coordinate attorneys' calendars, including scheduling travel, appointments, meetings, and conferences.
  • Support attorneys with client relations and business development initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Business Law Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys with client relations and business development efforts.
  • Prepare, proofread, revise, and finalize legal documents.
  • Handle filings with the IRS and state regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain confidential records, legal documents, and reports.
  • Manage intake and conflict checks, process time entries, and oversee client billing.
  • Coordinate attorneys' schedules, including travel, appointments, meetings, and conferences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in transactional law preferred.
  • Experience with annual filings and LLC submissions.
  • Knowledge of real estate terminology is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Professional.
  • Experience using electronic document management systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and client service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent grammar and spelling abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize urgent needs, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Aderant and FileSite experience is a plus.
