Our client is seeking a Business Development and Marketing Specialist to join their team in Boston!
Responsible for supporting the Firm's business growth initiatives. This role involves aiding in the preparation, submission, and monitoring of proposals and new business presentations, as well as collaborating with business development managers to coach associates and drive other business development endeavors. The position allows for remote work flexibility for 2 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in executing business development strategies to enhance client retention and attract new clients.
- Aid in managing the CRM system and generating reports on business development activities.
- Utilize and update CRM to generate lists, reports, and analyze connections with attorneys, clients, and prospects.
- Offer suggestions, assistance, and materials support to attorneys for creating presentations, collaterals, and PowerPoint materials.
- Work closely with managers and attorneys to develop materials for proposals, events, and other business development activities.
- Implement and manage regular social media and website updates.
- Draft and edit attorney bios, news releases, and submissions for awards/directories.
- Assist as needed in coordinating and executing business development events and activities, ensuring quality control, and adhering to budgets.
- Serve as a primary point of contact with external event partners, conference organizers, venues, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with budgets for business development activities, including events, dinners, and conferences.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the Business Development and Marketing team.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the Firm's objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in supporting events, marketing, or business development, preferably in a professional services environment such as a law firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM databases.

- Stay updated on trends and changes in legal services marketing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This role primarily involves sitting but may require frequent movement around the office.
- Occasional standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching may be necessary.
- Visual requirements include reading from computer screens and printed materials.
- Proficiency in keyboard and telephone use is essential.
- Verbal and auditory communication skills are required.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing less than 25 lbs may be necessary.
- Travel to other offices may be required.
