Job Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team!
The Business Analyst will report to the Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the senior management team, providing insightful analysis, feedback, and guidance. In this role, the Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Delivering financial analysis and recommendations to Senior Management.
- Proactively supporting the business by gathering insights, information, and key performance data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Creating and developing forecasts, models, and additional reports, including big data analysis.
- Building and maintaining both financial and operational business analyses to inform Senior Management and influence business decisions.
- Monitoring financial performance, researching variances from the plan, and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Communicating financial information effectively to executive leadership and developing executive-level presentations using various data visualization tools and methods.
- Engaging in project-driven financial analysis across all business lines, collaborating with internal and external business partners.
- Creating, manipulating, and managing BI connectors to provide senior management with robust analytics, leveraging business intelligence for hands-on data analysis.
- Supporting the Executive Director with reporting and analysis.
Candidate Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Applied Mathematics or analytics-related area.
· 3+ years in finance or analytics-related role. Investment Bank, Private Equity or Consulting experience a plus.
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to develop financial models to evaluate projects, revenue streams, etc.
· Flexible and able to anticipate change and respond to daily operational needs and priorities with agility.
· Energetically embraces new thoughts and ideas, focuses on continuous improvement efficiently.
· Experienced data visualization presentations, verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals of all levels within the organization.
· Demonstrates strong organizational skills to balance competing priorities and manage time efficiently.
· Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Data visualization tools, with ability to learn new tools quickly.
