Billing Coordinator
Overview
The Billing Coordinator will play a key role in preparing detailed and narrative client invoices while ensuring compliance with client billing requirements. This role involves proactively monitoring unbilled inventory, collaborating closely with partners, and tailoring billing plans to align with partner preferences. Building strong relationships with assigned partners and their support teams will be essential to success.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor unbilled inventory for assigned partners and identify billing opportunities.

Communicate with partners to determine matters requiring draft invoices.

Prepare draft bill narratives and summaries for partner/associate review.

Review and analyze time entries for accuracy and appropriateness.

Investigate time entry narratives as needed to support invoice preparation.

Serve as liaison between partners, clients, and billing support staff to finalize and submit invoices.

Ensure compliance with firm information security policies, including safeguarding sensitive data and reporting potential security risks.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

2–5 years of law firm billing experience.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proactive, results-driven, and able to manage competing deadlines.

Strong analytical and time management abilities.

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with professionals at all levels.
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $75,000 – $100,000, depending on skills, experience, certifications, and location.

Additional compensation may include overtime, discretionary bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
