Primary Responsibilities:

§ Facilitate the implementation of business development initiatives, programs, events, and strategies for the Department and its Practice Groups.

§ Contribute to the formulation of RFP and pitch response strategies, crafting targeted materials for personalized responses, and overseeing the maintenance of the proposal tracking database.

§ Conduct thorough research and competitive analysis, covering lateral movements, client insights, thought leadership, events, news/experience, and league tables. Collaborate with managers to create presentations highlighting the firm's competitive positioning.

§ Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the firm's external website (practice group pages, attorney bios), manage collateral materials (firm overview pages, practice group overviews), and identify opportunities for new collateral development.

§ Collaborate with the firm-wide events team to coordinate and support internal and client-facing events. This involves developing event proposals and budgets, managing logistics, creating targeted lists, and handling invitations and client communications.

§ Manage e-communications, including eAlerts, monthly department emails, and welcome emails for new attorneys.

§ Attend Marketing Department meetings, trainings, and retreats to stay updated on departmental initiatives.

§ Master the use of Marketing Department and firm tools and technology necessary to complete assignments effectively.

§ Support firm sponsorships, including attendee registration, collateral preparation, and booth coordination.

§ Cultivate strong working relationships with practice attorneys and fellow Marketing team members.

§ Oversee external survey, directory, award, and ranking submissions by crafting narrative descriptions and nominations, collecting matter descriptions, client permissions, and references from lawyers.

§ Monitor, track, and collaborate with attorneys on knowledge/experience management efforts using the firm's Foundation database.

§ Ensure accurate use and updating of client contacts/client team activity information within the InterAction software system.

§ Assist in managing the marketing budget, processing invoices, reconciling expenses, and related tasks.

§ Collaborate with the firm's PR team to enhance profile-raising efforts in the market.

§ Provide weekly project status updates and key information updates as required/requested.

§ Draft, edit, and proofread materials, make recommendations for improvements, and supervise marketing operations personnel for timely and professional project execution.

§ Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Competencies:

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, or Communication Studies.

· Preferred experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related role.
