We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with proven, hands-on experience in Azure administration and solution development. This role requires an individual who can contribute from day one to critical projects focused on Azure Web Apps, cloud migrations, and scalable solution architecture. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with setting up, deploying, securing, and maintaining Azure-based applications and services.
Cloud Engineer Responsibilities:
- Set up, configure, and manage Azure Web Apps from scratch.
- Design and implement appropriate App Service Plans, balancing performance, scaling needs, and cost optimization.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Azure Web App deployments using industry-standard tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Configure and manage scaling strategies for App Services to meet varying demand levels.
- Publish and deploy application code to Azure Web Apps, ensuring best practices in security and efficiency.
- Utilize Deployment Slots for testing, staging, and seamless production swaps.
- Implement and manage SSL certificates to ensure secure HTTPS communication for all applications.
- Enable, configure, and interpret Diagnostic Logs for effective monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Web Apps.
- Execute migrations using Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for seamless transition of services and applications into Azure.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
Experience and Skills Required:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically in Azure Web App setup, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for migration and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Strong understanding of App Service Plans, including cost management, scaling strategies, and performance tuning.
- Practical knowledge in configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines for Web App deployments (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools).
- Experience with setting up and managing Deployment Slots for application lifecycle management.
- Skilled in publishing and deploying applications using common tools and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience securing Web Apps with SSL certificates and implementing HTTPS.
- Proficiency in enabling and analyzing Diagnostic Logs for application performance and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and other Azure monitoring tools is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
