Job Description
Position Overview:
The AV Technology Technician plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality audio-visual experiences within the firm’s Conference Center. This position is responsible for supporting attorneys, staff, and clients by managing the setup, execution, and troubleshooting of live meetings and events using advanced AV technology. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and client-focused, with a solid understanding of video conferencing platforms such as Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams, and Webex, along with foundational AV systems knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the lead technical support for multi-point video and audio conferences, ensuring flawless execution for internal and high-profile external meetings

Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot AV systems and platforms, including Zoom, Teams, Webex, and Zoom Phone, to ensure consistent, high-performance results

Assist with video production needs such as filming, live streaming, recording, and basic post-production editing for firm events and client functions

Recommend and implement AV solutions tailored to complex or high-stakes meetings, such as virtual hearings or multi-location conferences

Maintain AV equipment inventory, monitor system health, perform routine maintenance, and track loans to avoid downtime during critical events

Coordinate daily support for scheduled meetings, working closely with colleagues to ensure comprehensive and timely technical coverage

Proactively test and verify AV equipment functionality, addressing issues immediately to prevent disruptions

Provide responsive support via email and in-person for urgent requests, including last-minute client meetings or court-related preparations

Troubleshoot common PC-based AV issues involving peripherals like webcams, microphones, and network connections

Remain flexible with work hours, offering off-hours and rapid-response support for time-sensitive global or high-profile matters

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the AV department and firm objectives
Required Skills & Knowledge:

Strong technical understanding of AV systems, including signal flow and audio-visual integration

Experience with administration and support for Zoom Phone, Zoom Meetings, Microsoft Teams, and Webex

Working knowledge of video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)

Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity and hardware issues related to conferencing and presentation systems

Excellent problem-solving abilities under pressure in fast-paced environments

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a customer service mindset
Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a Computer-related field preferred

At least 1 year of experience in an AV or technical support role preferred
