Applications Administrator
Job Description
The Applications Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and expanding an organization’s application ecosystem. This individual is responsible for day-to-day administration, system configuration, data governance, cross-platform integrations, and process automation across a diverse suite of SaaS and business systems.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical capability along with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. This role requires comfort working cross-functionally, managing vendors, and advising the business on effective system usage and workflow improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and support core business applications across CRM, ERP, HRIS, SaaS platforms, and collaboration tools

Manage user access, permissions, security controls, and application configurations

Oversee integrations, APIs, data flows, and cross-system synchronization

Troubleshoot application issues, workflow failures, and performance concerns

Partner with business teams to support application usage, reporting, and workflow improvements

Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage system updates and enhancements

Maintain data quality, governance standards, and compliance with security and audit requirements

Collaborate with Systems Engineers to design and implement automated workflows and scalable integrations

Document systems, workflows, and process improvements to support ongoing optimization

Strong experience with SaaS administration, configuration management, and application lifecycle management

Hands-on experience with integrations, APIs, SSO, identity management, and workflow automation tools

Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and enterprise CRM/ERP platforms

Proficiency in data management, reporting tools, and application analytics

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve cross-platform issues

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in application administration, systems administration, or business systems roles

Experience supporting environments with multiple interconnected SaaS platforms strongly preferred
